
In order to qualify for the academic study programmes in English, a minimum English language proficiency is required. The English language proficiency must be proved by submitting a test score (not older than two years) from IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge/ESOL. For professional courses and trainings there are no formal language proficiency requirements, but a sufficient command of English is necessary to successfully participate in classes, understand course materials, and complete assignments.
Required language proficiency scores
- Bachelor, Master, Doctoral: IELTS 6.0
- Preparatory course: (6 up to 12 months) IELTS 5.0
- Preparatory course: (6 months or shorter) IELTS 5.5

Exemptions
Students will be exempted from submitting a language proficiency certificate in the following cases:
- EU/EER students, who can prove that English was a compulsory course in their prior education, and who have a pass for English on their final transcript.
- Students whose prior education was fully English-taught.
- Students with an International Baccalaureate or European Baccalaureate.
