
Wilson Obomanu is an experienced lecturer, consultant, and development professional with a strong background in international relations, migration and development, security studies, and governance. His work bridges academic teaching, applied research, and professional practice, with a particular focus on conflict, migration, and development dynamics in Europe and Africa.
He brings extensive international experience and a deep understanding of cross-cultural, political, and institutional contexts to his teaching and consultancy work.
Academic Appointments
Wilson Obomanu has been a Lecturer in International Relations at the International Business School The Hague since 2018. He teaches courses in:
- International Conflicts and Cooperation
- Terrorism and Security
- Peace and Conflict Studies
In addition, he serves as a Guest Lecturer at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where he contributes to programmes on Migration and Development CV WOBOMS.
Professional Experience
Alongside his academic work, Wilson Obomanu has extensive professional experience in consultancy, development cooperation, and international business.
Since 2008, he has worked as a Development Investment Consultant with Trendfore Org in The Hague. His responsibilities include capacity-building training for local NGOs, coordination of diaspora organisations, research on migration, microfinance and remittances, and project monitoring and evaluation. His work has taken him to numerous countries across Africa, North Africa, and Europe.
Earlier in his career, he worked as a Consultant with Trinity Business / Financial Management in Almere, where he focused on social entrepreneurship, business development, regulatory advisory services, and training. Prior to this, he held senior roles in international procurement, business development, and regional operations in both Europe and West Africa.
